Metal detecting with the Garrett Ace 250 in smaller tot lots in this particular neighborhood only produced a couple of coins and minimal trash. My guess is that they are either not used much or that someone beat me to them.
Fortunately, the Ace 250 picked up two silver rings at one of the playgrounds.The larger ring is marked sterling and has a peculiar blue and green inlay and the smaller ring is marked .925 and looks like it is missing a small stone. It is also bent up a little. Both silver finds rang in loud and both were shallow.
Most of the finds in the neighborhood were only a couple inches deep or less. It was easy detecting as the sand was recently raked so I could coil scrub well. The metal detector settings were full sensitivity and relic mode with the stock coil.
